Claude Charron,

Director of Education and Professional Development

Claude Charron joined Conrad Foundation in 2017 as our Director of Education and Professional Development. His role with the Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge over the years has been inspirational, so we expanded his role for the 2017-2018 challenge year. During our off season he has worked tirelessly creating The Conrad Design Method, a collaboration framework for teachers and student teams to understand and accomplish innovative and
entrepreneurial solutions.

Claude Charron serves as the engineering, computer science and biomedical science Department Chair at Gulliver Preparatory. His students have received numerous national and international awards, including winning several Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenges. One of those projects was a life-saving water filtration device that is now being used in seven different counties around the world, including Haiti and Nigeria. In addition, Claude has personally been honored with the 2010 MIT Inspirational Teacher Award, 2013 Nancy Conrad Teacher Innovator of the Year and the 2014 PLTW-Kern National Teacher of the Year.
