Conrad Design Method®
The No Box Toolbox
Team registered? Ready to hit the ground running,
but don't know where to start?
We are here to help! The Conrad Design Method® (CDM) is a structured, collaboration framework for teachers and student teams to understand and accomplish innovative and entrepreneurial solutions. CDM was inspired by Google Ventures Design Sprint. Step by step, teams will identify and understand a problem, sketch solutions, prototype and validate. The Conrad Foundation strongly encourages teams to utilize this resource during the competition.
For all questions regarding the Conrad Design Method®, please contact Conrad's Executive Director of Education, Claude Charron at Claude@conradchallenge.org or engage in the conversation on the Conrad Slack Channel.
Want to use the latest SMART Learning Software for your innovation?
To support student teams with their innovations, SMART is pleased to offer a free subscription to SMART Learning Suite Software for all teams in the 2019-2020 Challenge. Once registered, teams will receive details from SMART on how to download the free subscription, as well as resources for using the software to work through no-box design thinking. SMART will also provide ongoing support via the Slack channel, and a series of webinars and videos for teams and coaches throughout the competition.
NASA Technology at Your Fingertips
How awesome is that?! NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) has selected patented technologies for you to consider as part of your solution to the 2019-2020 Conrad Challenge. This resource is open to all Challenge participants. The team that best incorporates a NASA technology is eligible a special award at the 2020 Conrad Innovation Summit.
