An ideal fit in the current educational environment, the Conrad Challenge is a virtual, student-driven, project-based competition equipping the next generation of entrepreneurs. High school student teams from around the world identify relevant, real-world challenges and create innovative solutions to design a better future for humanity.
STEP 1: STUDENTS FORM TEAMS
Teams must consist of 2-5 students, ages 13-18. team members do not have to be from the same school, or event the same country, making the conrad challenge a perfefct way to supplement existing curriculum and enhance student engagement.
Each team must also have a coach over the age of 18… a great role for teachers to fill! Learn more about the benefits and responsibilities of coaching a team here, as well as how you could receive a special gift from the conrad foundation!
STEP 2: TEAMS REGISTER ONLINE
Students should REview the Student Guide for step-by-step instructions ON REGISTERING their TEAM in the conrad portal!
As they register, they’ll brainstorm RELEVANT, REAL-WORLD CHALLENGE to tackle among the available CATEGORIES:
Aerospace & Aviation, Cyber-Technology & Security, Energy & Environment, Health & Nutrition, the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World with 2 special categories, Dell Technologies: Sustainable Packaging, and Oceans: The Plastic Pollution Problem.
STEP 3: STUDENTS COMPLETE ROUND 1: THE INVESTOR PITCH & SUBMIT!
During this round, teams must effectively explain their real-world solution by answering the following 4 questions:
What is your innovative product/service?
What challenge(s) is your innovation designed to solve?
What are the key features of your innovation?
How is your innovation different from others intended to solve the same challenges?
